Jaydee Bixby @ The Studio Recap!

This is pretty much the same recap I posted on Vote For The Worst.

When I arrived I was surprised to see there were so many old ladies there! When people screamed for him at Idol, they were mostly young girls.

"The Studio" has a nice candle lit setting, with tables and chairs... And it seems like you aren't allowed to stand up there.

Sarah Cripps opened for Jaydee, I had never heard of her before, but I thought she was really good... (and she looked amazing, I thought she was really hot...) She sang a few covers, and two or three of her own songs. After her set she said "Thank you, but I know you're just here for Jaydee." But I actually enjoyed her set!

Jaydee started his set with "Slow Me Down" which I was wondering why it was so slow at first, because it's one of the most upbeat songs on his album...But after the first verse it got upbeat.

Jaydee constantly said things like "Aww shucks" and "Goodness gracious" when people clapped for him.

During some performances he did some crazy VFTW victory type moves. Constantly shaking his legs, and moving around stage. When he saw someone trying to get a picture of him, he either went to the side of the stage, or even went off the stage so they could get the perfect picture. He bent down at one point for a person to get a picture of him, and he did a mime type move...He pretended he was climbing up a poll to get himself back up...

He called a couple of his songs different names... "Somewhere Tonight" he called Ready For Love... And he called Hard To Love You, "Tell Me Why". There was a lot of funny chit-chat. "Where's your Dad?" "Well he's been on vacation, I haven't seen him for over a year now!" "Awwww." "Actually I just saw him recently."

"I was surprised to hear that Zack Werner was releasing a country album. He always told me 'don't twang Jaydee, don't sing country Jaydee, why you singing country Jaydee?' and yesterday I saw him and his band, Haymaker, may be opening for me in Alberta. Oh how the tables have turned."

"Hello up there! I can't really see you, as my eyes aren't as good as they use to be... I'm 17, and I think I threw my back out already when I was about 15... I'm getting old."

A little girl had a sign that said "Marry Me Jaydee!" and he said "I would if I had a ring. I wish you told me before I came here!"

A few people asked him things like if he would give them his towel he used to wipe off sweat, if he would give them his set list, and if he would give them his hat.

Jaydee was talking about how one song he sang was about his old girlfriend, and how he broke up with his old girlfriend... That was when a old lady screamed "Marry my daughter!".

At one point he jumped off the stage and sang in the audience. He was really good at interacting with the audience and he seems like a really charismatic performer who will be at this for a long time.

After the show I was moved to the front of the autograph line, as my Mom is blind.

When I met Jaydee, I was calling the VFTW radio show, but it didn't work out. He said to me something like "Glad you came to see me again" and shook my hand.

Here is what one of the shirts they were selling looks like... I bought one for $20...

Jaydee's whole band did autographs, so they all signed my copy of Jaydee's CD.

Here's the video I took!

Not signing off,
