I'm Not Obsessed With Jordan McCoy

I'd like to write this blog to prove to my friends that I have not gone absolutely bonkers over Jordan McCoy.

First : I don't love everything she does. There are a few songs by her that I don't really like. Some of the material she has recorded I admit is generic, and doesn't sound any different from songs recorded by Hilary Duff, JoJo, Aly & AJ, Demi Lovato, and other Disney artists. What I do believe is that she has a great voice, and can outsing all of those people I listed.

I am also not a fan of her album cover.

I believe the picture of her is too photoshopped, and it looks like she's trying to be hip hop. I've atleast 30 second previews of all songs on the album, she's not hip hop. Also, it looks like the person who added the logo on forgot to delete the white spots from the R and A in Jordan, but did remember to delete them from the O, and D.

I made this cover. Bland? Yes. But I believe it gets the point across and goes with the album title.

I just found this picture on her Reverb Nation page, and I think this would perfectly represent the album. Also, she doesn't look plastic in that picture.

Second: I don't think about her all day and night. I think about her during the dawn, the day, the dusk, and the night. Kidding!

That video was for fun, even though I do still think Fergie is a man-faced whore, it was just for fun.

I like the fact that Jordan is a good sport about it and didn't block me, call me creepy, and hide in a deep dark corner hoping I'll forget she existed.

When I originally uploaded that video, I saw that a site named Cafe Mom was linking to it. When I finally noticed that, the post had been deleted. I later noticed it earlier in sites linking to some videos Jordan uploaded. It turns out Jordan's Mom posts Jordan related videos on that website. I do not know what she said about my video, but I know that it was most likely her who posted my video on that website.

I like to be dramatic and act, and all my videos regarding Jordan help me do just that. Soon my videos aren't going to be all about Jordan. I'm working on a couple of others right now...One about Clay Aiken, and the other about Lady GaGa.

Lastly: I don't agree with the choice of singles from her album.

Next Ex-Boyfriend was released to Radio Disney only, which is perfect for that song. The mainstream singles were Just Watch Me, and I Get Weak. I feel Just Watch Me is a cliche pop song, that all the pop artists I mentioned before have released a song like it. I Get Weak is a cover, a pretty good cover, but covers never do well on the radio.

The most stand out track that I've heard is "Don't Need Boys". It has this whole 80's throwback type vibe, and I feel it could do fairly well on the radio. From the beat to the deep vocals, it is fun. I also believe "Good Guys" should make the album. It is a very catchy song. A bit immature, but fun. I enjoy the opening line "Hello, let me introduce myself, I've been 'round the world like no one else".
(Click the song names to hear the songs I mentioned.)

I'm also interested in hearing the song that Rob Wells wrote with Shelly Peiken. That's all I know about it. There's no title and no clip available. But I am a fan of some of the songs Rob has written and produced, and I think the song would probably be good.

So what you've learned is I don't worship the ground Jordan walks on. I support her because I feel I can relate to her. I am also a teenager trying to break into the music industry, and if there was a Canadian Juniors, I would've totally auditioned. Failed my audition? Yes. But I would've auditioned.

Now enjoy this video of Jordan singing one of my favourite songs, Love Is A Losing Game.

I was going to audition with this song for Canadian Idol, but after getting rejected the first time with an Amy song, I feared singing another. Instead I sang a Sass Jordan song, and if you don't watch Canadian Idol, Sass Jordan is a judge on the show. It got me past the first round, but not the second.

hi Adam, I'm so disappointed that you're not really obsessed with Jordan McCoy, like i thought. LOL joking... you do have a great sense of humor, and don't worry; Jordan & I don't really think you're obsessed. You keep us very entertained, and make us want to get back on our computers to work and answer mail. your thoughts about the album are so on point, it's crazy. Diddy picked the singles, not us. we did record all the songs though. Just Watch Me was supposed to be the theme song for Hannah Montana, when they gave Jordan the role. Diddy loved it and we were stuck. It's a great inspirational song, but he didn't realize that everyone is not in the same frame of mind he's in at the moment. wanting to be inspired...
Big Girls Don't Cry was supposed to be the single. Then On A Saturday Night. I agree, with you on Good Guys as well. Diddy didn't want it on the album, though. He wanted to use it for a soundtrack or a bonus song for possibly, Canada. How did you hear about the Bob Wells, Shelley Peiken song? We didn't know Jordan's mom even had a site. we didn't finish the demo, because Bob had some personal things come up at his studio and wasn't able to mix it. then we just moved on. There were other hits that we have, as Diddy purchased 20 songs. But he gets to decide which ones make the album and are hits. i agree on the art work too. Wow, you're on point. i had them fix the white hearts, but no one liked it better except for me. so i let it go. i try and chose my battles wisely, and not have many with bad boy. they are really good to us. they make mistakes, but never intentionally. and no one would treat us better. We are like a family with them. NOW you need to become obssessed with Dream, please. That will give you your Jordan fetish and then some. I'm off to LA to find the other 2 objects of your new desires. Have a great day and stay tuned!!! fondly, Debbie Hammond, ClockWork Entertainment, CEO
ps. to all of your people that tease you, I'm advising them to join in the fun. Adam knows what he's doing. Diddy and other artists have seen his videos of Jordan & Dream, and they think he's funny, too. He's in the entertainment industry! Note: keep videos to about 3:30 minutes or so. that seems to be the typical attention span. Thanks for your continued support. We love you, Adam! Debbie Hammond, Jordan McCoy & Dream

Good Guys as a bonus song for Canada? I'm down with that!

How I found out about the Rob Wells/Shelly Peiken song:
I was reading Rob Wells wikipedia entry, which said he worked with Jordan McCoy. I sent him a message on MySpace asking him if it was true that he worked on Jordan's album, and replied that he did a song with Shelly Peiken for Jordan.

I personally think that there should be more than 10 tracks on the album, as 7/10 of the songs have been heard in full, either in live performance videos, or studio versions posted on her MySpace.

I understand choosing your battles wisely, but I feel sometimes you've got to stand up for yourself. If Bad Boy picks the next single and it doesn't catch on, I fear they'll drop her. I'm a Jordan fan and just like the other Jordan fans, I hope her album comes out someday soon.

I like what I've heard from Dream already, and I hope that Jordan and Hunter do well with the new Dream. I only knew the original Dream as "the people who sang the song in the commercial for Hit Clips".

I try to keep my videos short, but I always enjoy making them, and don't know what to cut out, and to keep. I'm glad that others enjoy my videos, as that's why I make them!

I love you, Dream, and Jordan too!

Fergie should have renamed the song "Big Ex-Tweeker Trannies Don't Cry".
